CHIMNEY SERVICE
Chimney cleaning St. Louis services and more
We're proud to call ourselves a full service chimney cleaning company. That means whether you need your chimney repaired, inspected, or simply cleaned to ensure its efficiency, we can handle the job! Below you'll find a list of all the different services we provide:
Chimney cleaning
With a chimney cleaning, our experts will clean off the chimney cap, and will run brushes from the top down to remove creosote from the lining of the flue. We work thoroughly to ensure that buildups of soot and other debris are removed. This helps to prevent fires, and reduces the risk of carbon monoxide buildup in your home.
Chimney interior video inspection
A video inspection provides an in-depth, thorough scan of the interior of your chimney. Using a camera allows us to inspect the chimney from a range of just a few inches instead of just looking from the top or bottom. A video inspection is a good idea if previous chimney damage (or a fire) has occurred, or if our technicians suspect certain problems.
Chimney cover installation
A chimney cover (also known as a chimney cap) helps to reduce moisture, prevent downdrafts, and keep animals from nesting or inhabiting your chimney. Moisture causes deterioration, and animals can certainly cause destruction.
We will measure, recommend, and install the most efficient cover for your home. Having a proper chimney cover installed can save you the headache of spending thousands in the future on repairs!
Chimney crown repair and rebuilding
The crown is an integral part of your chimney. It is the area around the top of the chimney that acts as an umbrella for the entire structure. The crown prevents water from seeping into the bricks and mortar that make up your chimney.
As it ages, the crown can begin to crack and fall apart. When this happens, we can either repair or replace the crown to ensure it continues to function properly. This will save you from costly structural chimney repairs in the long run!
Chimney waterproofing and flashing repair
If you see or feel leaks around your chimney, or notice that your ceiling suddenly has water stains, you may need to replace the flashing on your chimney. Rain or shine, your chimney is always exposed to the elements. Prolonged water penetration can cause costly damage to it. This is especially true when chimneys go through repeated freeze-thaw cycles, where water that has already penetrated the masonry freezes, expands, and then thaws.
We offer both chimney waterproofing and flashing repair services to keep your chimney free of potential leaks.
How often should I get my chimney looked at?
The National Fire Protection Association Standard 211 recommends that "Chimneys, fireplaces, and vents shall be inspected at least once a year for soundness, freedom from deposits, and correct clearances."
We can spot potential issues before they become costly problems!
